Amy Shares the Secret of the Success Our Contestants are Experiencing

 

Two weeks in to Beauty Bootcamp and our five contestants have lost a total of 47 pounds!!  How did our top 5 contestants do it? Ok, let me stop and warn you, it's not sexy or exotic.  So, what is it!?  Eat 6 meals a day every 3 hours.  No excuses, no exceptions, no nothing.  Just do it!  It's simple.  So why isn't everyone doing it?  Eating six proper, nutritious meals a day takes a little work.  It takes a time commitment and sacrifice.  It also involves other aspects of your life;  for example, going shopping with friends for the afternoon, a long game of golf, weekends etc.  If you eat every 2 to 3 hours, what are you going to do?  Sit at home so you can be near your food?  Of course not!  

You will need to plan ahead!  This could mean shopping once or twice a week, cooking your food ahead of time and packing it in Tupperware.  You will need to invest in a cooler and a few shaker cups.  Now you have food, containers, protein shakes and a cooler to carry it all in.  

Kim has mastered the concept of being prepared.  She packs her red cooler every morning with enough meals to get through the day plus an extra meal just in case.    In this video Kim is showing us the food she packs everyday before she heads off to work.  She has chicken, fish, broccoli, squash, salad, oatmeal, rice, peanut butter, boiled eggs and a variety of condiments.  Sound like a lot of food?  Well, she is losing weight eating every bit of it and more. Eating nutritious food every 3 hours will keep your metabolism burning at a higher rate.  My favorite analogy, think of throwing wood on a campfire every 3 hours,  When you feed the fire (metabolism) it will continue to burn very hot.  If you don't throw wood on the fire, then the fire will slow down and burn out.  

Last tip, be prepared to endure the comments from friends and family.  In our society everything involves around food.  While you may be able to eat some of the food available at family functions and socials events with friends, you should at least have one prepared meal with you at all times.
