Kim Has Lost 9 Pounds & 10 inches (cont'd)

 

Monday March 24:  

GOB - Monday March 24:  I was so excited about today's work out, before we got started or should I say, before the 3rd set, when I learned I had 2 more... I did some cardio at home this morning and I did not eat before this early morning class because I didn't want to get sick. YES, THE WORKOUTS HAVE BEEN SO INTENSE THAT I FEEL LIKE I WANT TO LOSE MY BREAKFAST!!!    However, today's work out was NOT just weight training; yet, it was high- cardio and heavy lifting.  WOW, I am so tried.  I was panting like a puppy. I was so tired that I had to be reminded to breathe.  My goal was to just do the exercises and get better each time.  Amy did some competitive tracking between Cheryl and I which made it fun; however, around the 4th set of 5 different stations, which equaled 1 set, I just wanted to keep moving. The funny thing is I only had water in my body, and by the last set I wanted to run to the nearest trash can and let it all go; however, the one thing that kept me from losing it was there was a guy (sitting close to where we were exercising ), eating his breakfast and I  just didn't want to get sick right there and spoil his meal. The things that motivate us....   Thanks Amy!!! 

 Oh, when I arrived from work today, my husband Dwayne was extremely sick with the flu, so after I attended to him, and sprayed Lysol all over the entire house (door knobs, faucet handles, everything) I said, "Good Night" and I sterilized his medicine containers and I took some of his NyQuil and went to bed, in the guest room.  That’s Right, in the guest room. I just can not afford to get sick right now. 

  DERMed- Monday March 24:  What an experience, I had my second Microdermabrasion treatment and my first Endermology body treatment, and by the end, my entire body was sore.  The funny thing is I know that these treatments will make me beautiful, and once the technicians at Institut' DERMed get further into the process, it is really a relaxing experience. 

Lastly, we all noticed a huge difference in my skin from the first the consultation to the second appointment and we were all pleased with that success.

March 25: 
GOB -  Tuesday March 25:  Amy had us working with the weights and boy was it intense.  We did numerous "Runs" with the weights, that included dead lifts, raises, to putting the bar on the traps then doing swats.  She wants to see those butts in the hole.  (Just a figure of speech to make sure we have our butts as low to the ground as possible).    I am learning the names of these different positions; however, all I know right now is I am tired and sore.   

  Chiropractic Appt: Tuesday March 25:   I had a Chiropractic Appt and Massage with my long time doctor, Dr. Robin June with the Corporate Chiropractor and Tricia Stanaland, massage therapist, who helped me after my auto accident (along with the Drs at NDHC); however, Tricia found the muscle triggers from the impact of the accident that caused me intense pain and through her massage therapy she was able to release the muscles, to the point that she removed the pain in my left shoulder.  Dr. June would then work with me with overcompensating with the right arm, which I hurt by babying the left shoulder. 

So I thought that since I was working out hard now, I probably should go see these guys once a week to make sure I am right through this 8 weeks process.   So I saw Dr. June first today and she checked me over, completed some massage, gave me an adjustment and sent me on my way to Tricia who would do her magic.  During the visit, Dr, June mentioned the changes in my back muscles and my skin elasticity.  So as she transitioned me to Tricia for the massage, she said, “I hope you ate your WHEATIES today, because she is tight and it is not stress related.  She is really lifting and exercising.   It felt so good to hear this as I have so wanted to get back to a place where I could exercise.  Thank so much BBC!!!    

  By the way, I'm still sleeping in the guest room... I am taking my vitamins and using the herbal resistance liquid and keeping my distance. 

  DERMed Tues March 25:  I stopped by DERMed so they could see my skin on Tuesday after the Microdermabraison treatment because I was dark around the eyes; however, what I learned about this treatment is that once the new skin surfaces; your skins will look wonderful and it did.  By Thursday I could really see the change. I am still using my skin products as provided and NOT picking in my face.  Thanks DERMed.  See you on Monday April 1st for my next treatment.

 Wed March 26:

GOB Wed March 26:  Amy had us working out with "Sensei" Mr. Dennis Palmer, and I was so excited because I have watched him numerous times working out with others and I knew from his style and techniques that he had a heavy Martial Arts background. I had no idea what style; I could just tell by his calm demeanor, the exercises he used and the way he walked that he had a Martial Arts background. So he started us with the Kick-Boxing Drills starting with the stretches, the double ended bag, the heavy bag, and most importantly the floor work (crunches/punches).  I was in  PAIN, and SOME HOW, I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.  I know you guys do not know this; however, years ago, I mean years ago, I took Marital Arts  (IIsshin-ryu)  at the Karate Barn in Salisbury, Md.  So if you know anything about me, I immediately ran to "Sensei" after the Kick Boxing class to find out how I can meet with him on a regular basis as I have been looking for another Karate experience / instructor, and he is the guy.   I am so glad that I found him at the Gym Of Buckhead.  

  I went home that evening and attended to my husband, took more allergy and cough medicine, showered and went to bed. And I told him all about Sensei Dennis Palmer.

Yes, I'm still in the guest room.

 Thursday March 27

GOB:  Thursday March 27: I did some cardio today at home for 1 hour and made sure I ate all my meals on time. Amy gave us the day off to rest.  Thanks so much as I needed it. 

My Dermatologist:  Thursday March 27: Well today March 27th, I had an appointment with my Dermatologist, which was a previously scheduled appointment to treat the eczema on my ring finger and to have several hanging moles removed from my neck.  All went well, and during the visit I was told that my skin looked really bright and hydrated.  I went on to tell them about program and the items that Institut' DERMed had provided and they were really impressed with all the products and that I had NOT had an allergic reaction to any of them as I tend to have sensitive skin.  This is a testament to the products that DERMed has created and how they are combined / manufactured.  I was then even more impressed with Institut' DERMed.

  And yes, I had one more night in the guest room...

Friday March 28:

GOB Friday March 28:   After having Thursday off, I felt even more refreshed with our Friday workout. We worked out with Jennifer, who is a new trainer to the GOB and she really did a great job.  With Jennifer we used equipment and performed exercises that I had not previously performed such as: 

 * The medium ball between your legs, then squeeze the ball 10 times, then you raise and lower and repeat

* The 3 person leg lift, which entails the person doing the leg lifts on the floor on their back, grabbing the ankles of the person standing behind your head, then having a person in front of you at your feet, and as you raise your legs, the person in front of you pushes them back down, then the next time you raise your legs all the way up and the person behind pushes them harder back down, and you repeat.  What an Ab work out!!   I moaned and screamed the entire time I completed my sets.    

  Noland Suttles:  Friday March 28:  LaLanka and Alberto both did my hair.  By the end of the process, the cut was great (Thanks Alberto), and the style looked good as well (Thanks LaLanka) ;however, until we get my hair properly relaxed and colored which will occur on Friday April 4th, I have to describe my hair as really BIG. I am really looking forward to the wonderful results on this upcoming Friday, as I am confident that my hair will all come together during session 3.  

Oh, I am no longer in the guest room.

Saturday March 29

GOB Saturday March 29:  Everybody, we worked out hard on Saturday.  We had 3 intense drills with 5 positions in each set.  Wow!! Amy had us pulling 90 lb bags, doing pull ups, dead lifts, running outside and then presses, just to name a few.  However, I just wanted to get through all this just so we could weigh in.  I can feel the change, I just wanted to see it.

I have lost 9 lbs and 10.5 inches from my body and I am ecstatic.

Sunday March 30

Sunday March 30:  I did not wake up today until 11am today and I never do that. Yes, I have missed several meals today; however, apparently I needed the rest.  I am so tired and I am not going to do anything today, except clean the house and wash clothes.  See you guys Monday.
