Kristen’s Professional Conclusion and Treatment Plan; Plump Lips a Bonus

Kristen decided to step it up a notch and fast track Phyliss to results by cleansing and toning her skin with a glycolic/salicyclic cleanser and toner before doing a microdermabrasion. After that she applied a Jessner wash. This is a chemical grade peel that is applied as a quick wash as opposed to being layered and left on the skin for a deeper penetration. Chemical peels differ in ingredients and strength. The ingredients in our Jessner peel are resorcinol, salicylic acid and lactic acid. The intensity of a chemical peel varies depending on the amount of time the peel is left on the skin and whether the peel is lightly or heavily applied. For Phyliss, Kristen wanted to give her skin a good wake up call and a radiant look but not an actual peeling. Phyliss felt a mild tingling feeling but otherwise was very comfortable. This treatment gave Phyliss the kind of jump-start her skin desperately needed, and it worked. Phyliss hasn’t seen that kind of rosy flush since her first blush ;-)

Now that Kristen had given Phyliss’ her skin back in a youthful glow she decided as a quick add on treatment to focus on the lips. “Tis the season for very dry lips and now that Spring is upon us it’s time to be rid of old dead skin cells and make room for the new!”  Lips require more moisturizing and conditioning as they get older, so it's really important to protect aging lips. Lips are also one of the first areas to show signs of aging. Reintroducing moisture to the lips and then protecting them will really minimize the effects of aging on the lips. Phyliss mentioned in her Beauty Boot Camp registration that as a 66 year old grandmother she wanted her grandchildren to think she looked cool so Kristen taught her how to get Angelina Jolie lips without injections.

Kristen’s tips for Angelina Jolie lips at any age:

  • She microdermed the lips with the diamond tip on a low suction, applied hydra lip lift and protective ointment on them. “Leaves lips completely smooth, plumped up and juicy!”
  • An at home alternative for Jolie lips without microdermabrasion: apply a small amount of enzyme peeling cream, slough off, then apply hydra lip lift and ointment.

About enzyme’s: An enzyme peel is a gentle peel that improves the texture of the skin, and minimizes lines, wrinkles, and sun damage. Enzymes are able to dissolve dead skin cells and speed up the growth process of healthy, new cells.
